Environment Canada says four communities in Saskatchewan set new record daytime highs on Wednesday.
Last Mountain Lake reached 21.6 degrees, Lucky Lake saw the mercury climb to 23.2 degrees, Rockglen set a new record of 22.4 degrees and Wynyard set a new day time high of 22.6 degrees. The hot spot in Saskatchewan, Moose Jaw at 24.8 degrees, was also the hotspot in the country on Wednesday, October 16th.
Twenty-eight locations in the province were 20 degrees or warmer yesterday including Saskatoon with a daytime high of exactly 20 degrees. Prince Albert reached a far more seasonal 12.6 degrees. Normals for this time of year in Saskatoon is a daytime high of 10.6 degrees and an overnight low of -1.
