The Prince Albert Police Service is investigating a death after responding to a report around 6 p.m. on Wednesday of a deceased person.
When police arrived in the 400 block of 19th Street East, officers located human remains.
Police remain on scene with the Forensic Identification Section and Criminal Investigations Division along with the coroner’s office.
An autopsy is scheduled for next Tuesday. The Prince Albert Police Service says they will utilize the expertise of a Forensic Anthropologist and Forensic Pathologist to help determine the identy of the deceased person.
Investigators have also notified loved ones of individuals who were previously reported missing in Prince Albert and have not yet been located.
