Around 9 Tuesday night, the Saskatchewan RCMP’s North Battleford Crime Reduction Team – Gang Task Force executed search warrants at two homes in that city as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation. Officers report seizing a loaded handgun, a rifle, about 81 grams of meth, around 58 grams of crack cocaine, ammunition, cash and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
Three local residents were arrested. The charges for 21-year-ol Enricko Thompson include four firearms-related charges, one charge of possession of property obtained by crime and two possession for the purpose of trafficking charges. Thirty-nine-year-old Justin Fraser is facing three firearms-related charges and one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking. Twenty-year-old Chloe Bates was arrested on an outstanding warrant for charges including failure to comply with a probation order and failure to appear in court. Thompson and Fraser’s first court appearances in North Battleford were Thursday.
