On Monday Maidstone RCMP received a report of human remains having been found in a pasture about 10 kilometres north of Alcurve in Alberta not far from the Alberta-Saskatchewan boundary.
Maidstone RCMP and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service determined the deceased is Serayne Kematch. His family has been notified. Preliminary investigation indicates Seryane’s death was not suspicious in nature.
Twenty-eight-year-old Serayne Kematch had last been seen in April this year walking on Highway 17 north of Lloydminster after the vehicle he was in, with friends, broke down.
Extensive searches were conducted by the community of Onion Lake as well as RCMP with ground, air and water searches. Alcurve is approximately 30 kilometres northwest of Lloydminster.
