After the first four days of Advance Polls, Elections Saskatoon says over 19,400 voters took advantage of the ten early voting polling locations. The City of Saskatoon, in a news release, says that based on the number of eligible voters, this volume translates to approximately 10 per cent overall turnout.
Election day is November 13th but prior to that students, faculty, and staff at the University of Saskatchewan can vote at Place Riel Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. which are the same hours for those at Saskatchewan Polytechnic but on Wednesday and Thursday.
Special polls for 40 retirement homes and long-term care facilities opened Monday and will be operating until Friday for residents and staff at those facilities. Drive thru voting advance poll is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the parking lot at Saskatoon City Hall.
