Pierceland RCMP have issued a warrant for the arrest of 42-year-old Lorne Singer (pictured) following an incident of forcible confinement and assault back on Tuesday at a residence on the Big Island Lake Cree Territory.
Officers responded to a report at about 1:15 p.m. on November 12 of an adult female who had been forcibly confined at the residence. Upon arrival, police determined an adult male forcibly confined and assaulted the woman, who was known to him, at the residence. The woman was able to escape and get assistance, reporting non-life-threatening injuries to police. Later that day, at about 8:30 p.m. on November 12, officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Big Island Lake Cree Territory where they located and seized a firearm, a machete and a baton.
Lorne Singer faces 10 different charges, 11 counts in total, in relation to the forcible confinement and assault. He is described as being 6′ tall, weighing 150 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. Pierceland RCMP continue to investigate and ask members of the public to report all sightings and information as to Singer’s whereabouts. However, they caution the public not to approach him if they see Singer, but call the Pierceland detachment or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
