Prince Albert Police have disclosed that a police presence in the community on Friday was the result of a bomb threat at a school.

Yesterday at 1:30 p.m., police were called to a school in the 400 block of 10th Street East for a report of a bomb being in the school. This address lines up with École Valois School. Students were evacuated.

Through investigation, officers determined that there was no explosive device inside or outside the school.

Police have identified and located suspects and are continuing to investigate. At this time, it is believed that there is no risk to public safety.
