Two generations of Bourgaults will be honoured during the April 26th induction ceremony in Saskatoon.
The late Frank Bourgault founded the company in 1973 and his son Gerry Bourgault grew the St. Brieux farm equipment manufacturer to a name known by farmers around the world.
Frank’s son Claude spoke on behalf of his father and brother.
The late Harold Martens was an MLA and a rancher from the Swift Current area. He was president of the Saskatchewan Stock Growers Association 2011 to 2014 and before as an MLA, Martens was influential in developing agricultural policy.
Dr. Bob Bors was the head of the fruit program at the University of Saskatchewan for many years. He is best known for his breeding work on the haskap berry.
Bill Wilson was the producer of the Prairie Farm Report—a staple of the Saturday noon hour TV lineup in Saskatchewan for many years. Many of those episodes eventually became DVD’s.
Dr. Grant Royan from Regina operated the Sherwood Animal Clinic for more than 20 years. He was also a board member with Canadian Western Canadian Agribition as well as the shows official veterinarian.
