The Saskatoon Blades’ 2024-25 season is on the verge of being ended.

After being denied their first lead of the series on a couple of occasions in the second period Tuesday night, the Bridge City Bunch couldn’t come back when the Calgary Hitmen broke a 1-1 tie before 40 minutes was done and skated to a 4-1 triumph before 5,206 fans at SaskTel Centre. Calgary leads the best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarter-final 3-0 with Game 4 Wednesday at SaskTel Centre. The Hitmen opened the scoring for the 51st time in 71 games, regular-season and playoffs combined, winning 42 of them – including all three games in the series.
