The Leader of the official opposition says a failing roof and non-potable water because of levels of copper and lead are not the only challenges at the new Saskatchewan Hospital in North Battleford. Ryan Meili asked the Premier during Question Period about reports the NDP are getting from residents about wards being closed due to flooding, and admissions closed because of mold.
Premier Scott Moe answered that he was not aware of those issues, so they opposition should give the information to the Health Minister so it can be looked at. He added that a facility audit is being done on the Saskatchewan Hospital to ensure it is constructed to required specifications and the results will be made public and any issues will be corrected.
Construction of the Saskatchewan Hospital, which was a P3 build, cost just over $400-million.
