It’s a first for Saskatoon. Glow Gardens opens tonight (Thursday) at Prairieland Park’s World Trade Centre. The 58-thousand square foot space will be illuminated by a million Christmas lights. Manger Elita Strasky says it features walk through gardens, games for children and on-going live entertainment. She calls it a Christmas festival showcase and indoor entertainment centre where families and friends can gather and enjoy the holiday-themed structures including Santa’s sleigh with glowing reindeer. Strasky says some people have asked about making their marriage proposals and Friday is date night. She also feels it’s a perfect place for children’s birthday parties. The theme for Glow Saskatoon is “Santa’s Lost Presents”. Strasky points out online tickets are sold reservation style with specific start times but guests can stay as long as they want. Glow Saskatoon which also includes a marketplace with crafts and exhibitors runs until December 28th.
