Now that the milder temperatures have frozen over, the Saskatoon Police Service is cautioning drivers not to leave keys in vehicles unattended while warming up your vehicle. If you leave your vehicle idling unattended, make sure the keys aren’t inside and the doors unlocked. If that’s not possible, the SPS suggests not leaving your vehicle while it’s warming up, otherwise it’s an invitation for theft. You could be a victim to a crime of opportunity. If you notice any suspicious people or activity around your vehicle, call the Police Service non-emergency line – 306-975-8300.
